"Eat Well", "Shop Well" and "Save Well" to HELP take care of YOU Remember Remember the 13th November 2019

https://katrinaslomczynski.blogspot.com/2017/11/rememberremember-5th-of-november.html

Please read the above link before following.

Over the last year I have been updating this blog plus all of my other on line social media.  I would love some feed back.

Now that a year as past since I last posted about budgeting my shopping bill I have had a lot of changes to deal with.

One of those changes is that I am still on the old system and claim Employment and Surport allowance.  I also only have one child living with now due to my old son wanting to move out and live with his dad full time.

For me this is worst thing to deal with but was his choice.

So now I have had to re budget my income (benefits) due to not working and still caring for my youngest son who is now three.

My housing support is still the same, I get child benefit and child tax credit, employment and support allowance and health start vouchers for my son until he is 4.

What I have been doing over the last year is buying a lot of my food online apart from milk, fruit and vegetables.  I have set a budget of £30.00 per month for Milk, fruit and vegetables which I now top up due to only claiming Health Start Voucher for one child.

I use local markets and store of this.

When shopping on line I have set a budget of £50.00 per week for my weekly shopping and try to stick to this.

I use Tesco's mainly  and pay for a delivery saver to cut the cost of my spending, so that I can have my deliveries at a set amount per month and be delivered when I know I will be in.  I also use Iceland at times too for my frozen.

The shops that I use are my own personal choice and the two I am happy with.  I will still shop at other places in the week depending on what I may or may not need.

Over the year I have found this for me to be the best way to shop.  It helps me keep track of what I am buying and gives me the option to click on regular items that I would buy.  I do not always buy the same thing every week and do not always do a shop every week.

But I do have a budget that I stick to and that is around £50.00 per week for shopping which makes my life less stressful and more manageable for me.

I have also managed to claim points when shopping on line, I get voucher to spend which means at times I may spend more to use them; however with the points that I have claimed over the year it will help when budgeting for the holidays and birthdays.

Having a fixed address helped me to shop on line when I had no fixed address I always had to carry money with me which meant that I was always worried about losing it or I would just pay on my card.  This mean that at times I would be short at the till or that I would over spend so that at he end of the month I may have spent more money than I had budgeted for.

Over the last 6 months I have looked at saving about £10.00 per week I have had to do this due to the increase in bus fare that I have need to take and pick up my children.  Next year it is due to rise again so I am looking at driving again if possible or finding an other way to save money so that I can still drop off and pick up may children.

AT the moment my bus fare is around £22.80 per week so that I can travel in my local area and to local towns and villages.  This is for Stage Coach Bus service only and not any other bus company..

"Eat Well", "Shop Well" and "Save Well" to HELP take care of YOU Back to School

Back to school, most people are thinking about nothing this week than "back to school" and already I have seen "Christmas" stock on the shelves in stores before "Halloween"   Life today seams to be about our next shop our next buy.  Even if it means buying things that we do not really need.  One thing that I am trying to teach my children in to "Eat to live" and not to "Live to eat" and to only buy thing when they really need to and not just because they think they need them or want them.  There is nothing wrong with a little indulgence but I do not want my children to become to commercialized.

"Eat Well", "Shop Well" and "Save Well" to HELP take care of YOU Clearing up my life

Over the last few years I have been trying to clear up my life especially after having the boys.  Now that my oldest is due to start school I am looking at doing so again and I have stated by reducing the amount of emails that I have to sort out on a daily basis.

I know that I will not be working of a while so I have unsubscribed form any thing that could be classed as work related and have focused on only the information that may be relevant to me and my family.

I was getting so stressed out looking at jobs that I know that I could not do due to now being a full time single mum.  I am now going to look at what I can do and focus on that.

I am looking at self employment and so I am looking on how this could be achieved with in the next 18-24 months.

"Eat Well", "Shop Well" and "Save Well" to HELP take care of YOU 6th April 2018

I have not posted any thing for a long time with so many things happing in my life and the habit of trying not to "put all my eggs into one basket." At times I know that I can at times over stretch myself and end up not getting any thing done.

This is something that I really need to start focusing on so that I can hopefully achieve something by the end of 2018.

So I will aim to do this...

Please watch this space.
